Q: So who are you again?

I'm Dan, a freelance copywriter based in London.

Q: Do I need a copywriter?

That depends on whether you want to make a good impression on your customers. If you want to say the right things to engage with them and build strong, lasting relationships (which ultimately means more business) then, yeah, you should consider hiring a copywriter.

Q: What experience do you have?

I’ve worked as a professional writer since 2007. I started by writing for the BBC before spending three years at a well-known marketing agency in London. I then decided to fly solo and start my own freelance copywriting business, Dan Adams Copy, in early 2011. And that’s where I am today!

Q: Which award did you win?

While working for integrated marketing agency Base One, the copy I wrote for Juniper Networks' JUNOS campaign won best use of email at the B2B Marketing Awards.

Q: What brands have you worked for?

PayPal, Saab, British Gas, Virgin Media, Netgear and Cable & Wireless, to name but a few.

Q: How much do you charge?

Copywriting jobs come in all shapes and sizes. (Some are straightforward; others take a bit more time.)

This variety makes copywriting fun, but it’s also the reason why I don’t have a set price list. Instead, I’ll talk to you beforehand about how long a job will take and how much it will cost. So there are never any nasty surprises!

Q: Do you charge for amends?

Minor amends are completely free of charge. However, I do charge if the amends require any re-writing or substantial editing. I'll let you know before I do the work if this is the case.

Q: How long will it take?

Again, that depends on the project in question. Tell me what you need and I can usually tell you straight away how long it will take. Get in touch to find out.

The creative process is as easy as 1, 2, 3… (er…4.)

1. We have a chinwag
So I can find out exactly what you need from me. And I can I tell you how much it will cost and how long it will take. This is completely free of charge.

2. I put myself in your shoes
Not literally, of course. I'll ask you a few simple questions about your business so I can understand your hopes and dreams - and how I can help you achieve them.

3. I write
Here's where the magic happens, as I choose, craft and polish each word until your copy is complete. Voila!

4. You give me your feedback
So I can tweak it till it’s absolutely perfect - and we’re both totally happy.

Q: Do you just do copy?

I’m a copywriter, but I have some very talented friends who I work with whenever I can. If you need a new brand, a logo, new stationery or a new website, my buddies and I can make that happen for you.
